Happy Monday, Everyone! Let me introduce you to Jacinta from Live More Now !! Living in North Queensland , I asked Jacinta a few questions so we can get to know her a bit better, and asked about the blogging scene up north!
What is so fabulous about blogging? Blogging allows me to organise the conversations that are going on inside of my head (no I am not mad, I just think too much), to reflect on my days challenges and acheivements and to focus on the important things. I have found that, through writing, thoughts and actions become real. Its also great fun to peek into the lives and thoughts of others - I am a shocker of a sticky-beak.Where and when do you blog? I generally blog at home - either early in the morning or after dinner because these days the TV offerings are crap.
What's your blog mainly about? My blog is my journal of my life and reactions to the events around me. My partner and I have both lost family members suddenly in the recent past and we both determined not to waste a single moment of the time we have left. My blog is merely a recording of the fun times we are having.
What's the blogging scene like in Cairns? I have already discovered two other blog authors in Cairns through Blog This and it would not surprise me to discover others as I lurk around. I find that there are a lot of creative people living in the Far North and due to our remoteness many need to embrace technology to express or connect with like minded people.

What's been one of your favourite BlogThis Challenges so far? I really enjoyed the "old" photographic challenge. I kept an eye out for days for something suitable and a chance discovery of an old car wreck by the highway was the perfect outcome of the search. I haven't taken part in many challenges so far but I have found that they are fun to exercise some diversity in my writing and thinking.
A crazy/funny/beautiful memory from your life? My partner and I drove a classic American car from Melbourne to Cairns over the Christmas break last year (2008). We had a fantastic and relaxing time and really enjoyed the driving each day. It was a nine day road trip and reminded me how much I enjoy a good road trip.
Travel destination you must, must visit? I love reading about English history and in particular the Plantagenet era of the monarchy (1154 to 1485). My fantasy holiday would be a guided trip though the UK and France to walk in the footsteps of the Plantagenets, visit the battlesite and castles (what ever is left of them) and absorb the history.
Favourite Classic movie? I like quirky movies - "Malcolm" was filmed in 1986 and starred Colin Freils and John Hargreaves. Its an Aussie film with a fantastic sense of humour. Its probably not a classic film but its one that makes me smile.

Your idea of happiness? Happiness is being able to make choices and the freedom that choices allow.
Lifelong ambition? I would love to write a book. A light hearted travel book would be fun and doing the research would be even "funner".
Make sure you head over to her lovely blog and say hello!

I saw Malcolm being made.
It was a quiet Sunday afternoon in Elizabeth St and suddenly half a Honda drove past.
